small business loan in canada

During the COVID-19 pandemic, small businesses are still dealing with difficulties and uncertainties, and the government is helping to make sure they can continue operating.

The Canada Emergency Business Account has aided nearly 800,000 Canadian small businesses and not-for-profits since the spring. The Honourable Chrystia Freeland, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, announced the extension of the Canadian Emergency Business Account today (CEBA).

Beginning on Friday, December 4, 2020, qualified companies that are struggling financially as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak can apply for a second CEBA loan of up to $20,000 on top of the $40,000 that was previously made available to small companies.
